The Moghrar Tahtani site in southern Algeria is celebrated for its ancient rock engravings, portraying animals such as cattle, gazelles, and human figures. These Neolithic petroglyphs offer a fascinating glimpse into the lives and surroundings of early Saharan communities.

Part of Algeria's rich rock art heritage, Moghrar Tahtani stands alongside iconic sites like Tassili n'Ajjer and Tiout, preserving the memory of a time when the Sahara was a fertile and vibrant landscape.

The Moghrar Tahtani rock engravings, known locally as Oum El Braïm, are located near the oasis of Moghrar in southern Algeria. These ancient petroglyphs depict animals such as cattle and gazelles, along with human figures. Dating back to the Neolithic period, the carvings reflect the life and environment of prehistoric Saharan societies.
